Del Mar is a small, coastal community approximately 20 minutes north of downtown San Diego. This beach community is known for its gorgeous weather, world-famous race horse track, county fair, stunning coastline, delicious restaurants, and shopping.

Del Mar has a population of about 4,500 in its small 2.1 square mile area, which offers a laid back, yet civilized living. Visiting guests can enjoy the pleasures without need of a car. It boasts over 60 shops offering everything from high-end apparel to one-of-a-kind boutique shops. The village holds over 25 restaurants, most providing outdoor seating with a view of the ocean, which has amazing sunsets. With cafe’s that provide sidewalk seating and award-winning dining perfect for any occasion.

Del Mar and its 2 miles of coastline offers a great beach break for the avid surfer to slow rolling waves for the beginner, making this a great spot for any beach-goers seeking sun, sand, and waves. There is even a section north for the dog lover, to let them run loose and enjoy the sand and water.

Del Mar has great parks for a picnic or wedding, walking a dog, or the perfect setting for the romantic couple. Seagrove Park and Powerhouse Park are ideal grassy locations, with a playground for the children across from Powerhouse Park, known as Tot Lot.
